![]() ![]() ![]() No real mention of why it wouldn't like Windows 98. I tried searching, but all I could find were people trying to TH working on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10, etc. I tried a few different ISOs (mounted virtually as well as burning physical CDs), applied the instapatch on the CD, but that unfortunately no change. The only way I can get out of it is to reset my PC. The music keeps playing, the days on the in-game calendar keep flipping by, but I can't click on anything or even exit the game. The trouble is as soon as I get through the intros and menus and into the game, the mouse freezes up and the game stops accepting input after 1-10 seconds. I am able to get the DOS version installed and working and everything seems to work, although the DOS version is fixed at 60Hz, and I'd rather play it from within Win98 if I could since there is a native Windows version of the game. The original CD contains both a DOS and Windows version of the game. Intel core 2 solo processor SU3500 (1.I never played Theme Hospital before, but it looked fun and I've been trying to give it a go on some original hardware - an 850MHz PIII running Win98 SE with an Nvidia TI4200, Yamaha OP元 w/ Waveblaster X2GS for MIDI. Laptop running windows 7, 14" LED screen 16:9 HD format Umm, my laptops specs (read from sticker still on the machine) The black zones shown ARENT black on my screen - just to make that note - its actually a mix of red, yellow, green, white, cyan etc etcĪnyone know how to get the colour to show up as normal or am i stuck with it like this?Īnnoying cos ive played the game since it was released, but having moved several times, can no longer find the disc (i know its SOMEWHERE.but where?!) the trees are tinted fluoro green/yellow etc, and when you hit pause it turns fluoro purple. ( Do not download these files unless you already own the original game These files are copyright Bullfrog. but these are bad.the photos above are printscreens, but they dont actually look like what it looks like (im not sure how that works either) basically the game is pixelated (i can live with) but fluoro green, yellow, very harsh, bright (hurts your eyes) Add comments If you’re looking for a copy of Theme Hospital that is working in Windows 7, then look no further The following download is the FULL game of Theme Hospital which is fully patched and works perfectly in Windows 95, 98, XP and 7. i realise its a DOS, and im running 7, so there might be some issues. Ok, im on windows 7 (in no computer whiz so i dont really get them) just downloaded the theme hospital file, followed the directions la-d-da-d-da etc etc. Thank you for taking the time and posting the game and bothering with explaining what seems to be the simplest thing on earth to a bunch of apparent noobs ![]() CorsixTH is the most popular Windows, Mac & Linux alternative to Theme Hospital. While the project is open-source, CorsixTH requires a copy of the original game to provide graphics and sounds. How's that possible? What did I do wrong? CorsixTH is an open-source game engine recreation of Theme Hospital, a management game created in 1997 by Bullfrog Productions. Help anyone? Also, I don't think that the game is installed at all, I can't seem to find it in /control panel/programs and features/ when I tried to uninstall it and possibly reinstall, but when I start it from c:hospital/hospital.exe it seems to be working, as described above. I honestly haven't a clue how to solve the ''slow mouse'' problem, other than that, it's pretty much fine. I have W7/64 and when I tried to reset the screen resolution to 800圆00 it loaded the game to full wide screen is if I didn't change it at all, all I did was mess up my desktop. I have played this otherwise fantastic game some 10 yrs ago and I remember it fondly, it's one of the first strategies I have ever played. I have tried installing as described in the first post (also, I have read the entire thread) and I can't get it to work properly - once the game loads, my mouse gets stuck a lot and I can't play, and the graphic is all messed up - pixelated and colors are not right. ![]()
